SALES & MARKETING

In my last blog i told you that i had achieved my first goal of becoming a marketing manager of a company because it is one of the toughest job and you get involved in all the aspects of decision making.
Most people think SALES & MARKETING is one and same thing but there is huge difference between the two.As i understand in sales you take a product from manufacturer or supplier to it buyer place and in return you get the money paid worth the value of the product and on realisation of that payment your sales gets completed.
"MARKETING IS AN ART OF CREATING A DEMAND OF YOUR PRODUCT"
Now to create a demand for your product the first thing required is to do PLANNING so that you can target your potential MARKET and then make POLICIES to achieve that objective through good presentation of your product by BRANDING through sales promotion by Catalogues,Visual presentation of your company and its products through website and video presentation, participating in TRADE exhibitions, getting neccessary ISO norms, giving Ads in newspaper, magzines and T.V,putting up banners etc helps you to create awareness about your product and most important of all is AFTER SALES SERVICE.Looking forward to your feedback.
