Brahmaputra & Temples.

As i have told you in my earlier blog that fancy bazaar was the main market but we soon found out that most of the bazaar or place had a typical name like the place we were living in was called Ullubari,and other market name were Paltan bazzar,Pan bazzar etc.It is a small town and one day we all went to see the famous Kamakhya Temple which was on top of the hill with greenery all around.Inside the temple it was dark and lot of sacrifice of animals was going on since people have faith that if you offer sacrifice to Maa Kamakhya your wish will get fulfilled and tradition is continuing.Then we went to see another temple of Lord Shiva which is in the centre of Brahmaputra river situated in small hill surrounded by water from all side.So you have to go there in a boat and it was very frightening for all of us because the river is so huge and water current was so fast and we saw very big ships going across from both sides and our boat looked so tiny in comparison but somehow we reached the temple site but you have to climb upstairs to reach the temple and when we reached midway we found the monkey blocking our way to go to the temple but the local guide told us that if you offer him something to eat then he will allow you to go. So we offered him some biscuit and gave the clearance to move ahead.So it was really a exciting journey.
