SHILLONG

Shillong is the capital of state of Meghalya and is 6 hours drive from Guwahati and my father took us to this place.It was a beautiful picturesque journey all along with lot of greenery,flowers,different kind of trees  all along the route.After we reached Shillong we found the mist in the air and sometime it used to get dark and after a while sun used to come out with the mist all around the sky was getting sometime orange,yellowish and it was like seeing painting of nature.We kept moving up the hill and we saw a beautiful lake in the middle and it was exotic beauty all around.On the way we also saw rudraksh tree.Then after one hour or so we reached the top of the hill.The view from there was breath taking to say the least.The view of town from the top with house looking like toys and also vehicles were also looking like moving toys.
We were literally surrounded by clouds and we were told that Cherapunji which receive the heaviest rainfall on earth is just nearby.It was really an enthralling journey.
