GIVING A BRAND NAME TO A PRODUCT IS EASY BUT ESTABLISHING IT IS THE REAL CHALLENGE.
As i told you in my last blog that i had called a meeting of interested clients who had shown interest in taking the distributorship and laid down following conditions:
1.They will deposit Rs.5 lakh as security deposit and in return we will give them product which they will have to keep in their godown.
2.They will not sell any other brand.
3.They will appoint dealers in their state and supply of product will be through them.
They asked me that why should they pay such a huge money as deposit? I gave following reasons:
A) I promised them that in return we will give advertisement in leading newspaper and magazines and all the project orders in state will be routed through them and incase of any direct order then they will be paid ORC ( Overwriting commision).
B) They can get Rs.1Lakh as security deposit from dealers and suppose they appoint 5 dealers in state they will recover the money from them.
C) I promised to provide them neon sign boards & glow sign boards along with catalogues mentioning their name as official distributor.
D) We promised to give advertisement in local newspapers & magazines on 50% sharing basis.
They agreed and two of them became our distributors.We received Rs 10 lakh immediately which we used for sales promotion and it was a win-win situation for everyone and Mr. Pandey got surprised because he never imagined that anybody will pay me such a huge amount as security deposit.Slowly our brand GEEKEN got established and Mr.Pandey now concentrated his whole energy in building a very good factory at MANESAR because i told him that major buyers and Leading Architects will not come to pandey wali gali where they had the present set-up.
Later on he also opened his own showroom in kirti nagar delhi and it is there since then.
