In my last blog i gave some example of my interviews related to job search.Most of youth goes through this period of uncertainty after they finish their study except for few bright one's who goes to IIT'S OR IIM'S. These days parents are much more aware and they prepare their children's career much in advance right from their middle school stage and their are various coaching centers to help the students.These days it has became a necessity also because of cut through competition in every field .A student even after getting 95% marks is not sure of getting admission in Delhi University and getting admission in his college of choice or subject.
So,i was also going through the same phase but in our time we were not much aware and neither our parents or brothers took much interest in my career and those days salaries were quite low in comparison to today's time and although my elder brothers were employed in good companies but they had to look after their families plus my father had booked a flat in rohini and they also used to contribute in that with my father.They all were engineers and my father was in Govt.undertaking but still to pay the installment of Rs.10,000 or Rs.20,000 was a difficult task.
People started getting paid good salaries only after 6th pay commission and economic liberalization in mid 1990.So,i decided to appear for civil services examination's without doing any coaching and since i had decided that either i will became an IAS or i will stay in private sector and become manager in good company.Although my general knowledge was very good i was not able to clear the civil services exam even after three attempts but i never gave any exam for a lesser post since i was too ambitious.
In the meanwhile i got few jobs in marketing but in smaller companies and i worked there for 6 months or so and then i got job in Maruti showroom classic motors and it was near my house.The office was Air-conditioned with soothing music playing in the background and i had to attend to the customers who used to come to buy the car and prepare their documents.But i was not happy sitting in one place whole day and i wanted some dynamic job as management trainee in good company.After working there for only one month i got the job i wanted in a company called M/S Jallundhur Motor Agency Ltd, as management trainee.This company is largest supplier of automobile spare parts in north India.
