Let’s see the marriage indicators in Astrology first:
Marriage is a conditional arrangement between two human beings (could be man/woman, man/man, woman/woman in today’s world). One may not like to hear this but its the only reality that love has nothing to do with marriage as love is god itself and love is beyond all boundaries, race, creed, customs, traditions, country. Infact love is unconditional and without expectations. Marriage is all about give and take. The biggest conditional planet is Venus which also rules over the diplomatic give n take sign i.e. Libra. Hence our first indicator is Venus and Libra.
7th house is our next indicator as it rules the opposite person. This is the key difference between 5th and 7th house in the sense that 5th house rules love and 7th rules relationships (give n take). One gives sex to get love and other things and other person gives love and other things to get sex. 7th house is also the sign of Libra in the celestial zodiac.
The secondary indicator for marriage is 2nd house. 2nd house indicates family lineage and family values. One might feel compelled to expand the lineage and pass on values to next generation which happens only after marriage. 11th house can be another secondary indicator since it rules gains and in a give n take relationship like marriage, one can gain something like money, prestige etc. which is ruled by 11th house.
I am not counting 8th and 12th houses as indicators of marriage since these days one can have sexual relationships without marriage also.
Let’s see the planets that have some issues with the concept of marriage:
Sun is a planet that loves going solo because it rules individuality and marriage is all about compromise and submission (to some extent). Sun is individual charisma, individual identity and individual intelligence and it cannot fathom an individual getting lost in a give n take relationship where individual brilliance suffers. So Sun in 7th house or Sun with Venus or Sun in Libra or Sun in Ascendant can produce a disinterest towards marriage
Saturn is the yogi which can’t compromise with another individual because Saturn is all about principles, ethics. Saturn is the neutral observer in this worldly drama and being the last visible planet in this solar system is concerned with endings and freeing the soul from this man made drama. So Saturn doesn’t really want one to get married and get entangled in karma further. Unless there is some pending karma with another individual, Saturn can deny marriage. Saturn in 7th (enemy sign or debilitation) or aspecting 7th house, Saturn - Venus , Saturn - Moon conjunctions are known for denying/delaying marriage.
Ketu is all about completion, negation, cessation and final goodbye to this bhuloka. Ketu is the enlightment which we are looking for since many births. Ketu scatters, denies and wraps up things as it has done those things again n again and its time to move up the consciousness ladder. Hence Ketu in 7th house or with 7th lord, Venus - Ketu, Moon - Ketu conjunctions can deny marriage
Mars is a surprising entry in this list because Mars plays an opposite role here. Mars is the bachelor planet here. Mars is the soldier who needs to fight and hence cannot afford to settle down and start a family. Hence many times Mars can make a person hop from affair to affair but person might not feel like settling down in one relationship forever. This however is a weak indicator.
Paap kartari to 7th house or 7th lord or Venus also affects marriage chances. 7th lord in 8th or 12 houses or vice versa can deny/delay marriage.
Afflictions to Moon also can be one reason as Moon represents the society and traditions. So Moon with Saturn, Ketu can lessen the chances of getting married
Although Jupiter doesn’t deny any material pleasure, but Jupiter in 7th house tends to destroy its significations especially for females.
If above mentioned factors repeat in the Moon chart or D-9 chart, chances of marriage slim down further
Apart from the above mentioned factors, presence of Sanyas Yoga can deny marriage. Sanyas yoga is formed by Saturn - Moon conjunction or presence of 4 or more planets in a house (pravajya yoga)
