The very idea of proposing on valentine’s day frightens me,
the pressure of proposing to your crush on the most romantic day is one that is
filled with many a counter question, such as; 1) will she say yes? 2) if she
says no, what will I do? 3) Umm.. is she the one?
The mind explodes but you got to come up with an idea, after all, there’s no day better than
the day of valentine’s to express your love and hope for the best, it’s like
“that day, or never”.
So if I was to propose on this Valentine ’s Day, I’ll do it
my style.
Firstly, being son of a father who’s a huge movie buff, I’ll
try and do it in the movie style and for that, I’ll ask my dad for his suit –
if I could pull off wearing his suit, I’d definitely look handsome. Next up, I
will take my family car which has been in the family for nearly 20 years and
has seen all the big moments of the family, only fitting to bring this car to
the special day, right! :D
I’ll pick up my crush from her house and take her to a nice
fancy restaurant. Spend the evening there and talk about a few light hearted
topics, not make her realize that you’ve got something big planned for the day
and hence, I’ll buy a small present for her to make her think that I’ve got
nothing else planned.
Once she’s with the idea that her gift is all the surprise
she’s getting for the day. I’ll take her to a nice park, a quiet place, not too
many people – just fresh air and we two. I’ll gently hold her hand and gather
her attention and with all the honesty, express to her the presence she has in
my life.
Once I’ve done that, we’ll walk a few more steps and during
this time, she’d be starting to get ideas but she’ll still be thinking and
NOW’s the moment. I’ll get on my knees and propose to her, picking just the
right moment after a very calm evening spent with her.
You’ve to take the leap when you’re proposing, being bold is
the ONLY option you have. After all, getting “close up” to your crush for the
rest of your life isn’t easy, is it!
And if my crush does say yes, I will gently hold her hand
and give her the precious ring that’s been in my family for years. Nothing
expresses true love than the magic of making her feel “you’re now part of my
life and my family life”. That’s the perfect idea of a proposal.
